Crosslinked polyvinylketone is a water-soluble tablet disintegrant. Crosslinked povidone can quickly show high capillary activity and good hydration ability, with almost no gel tendency. The size of cross-linked povidone particles has a significant impact on the disintegration of antipyretic and analgesic tablets. The larger the particle size, the faster the disintegration. Crosslinked polyvinylketone is a good grinding agent. Using 1-2% disintegrant in tablets can achieve the same disintegration effect as other commonly used disintegrants, and has good reprocessing ability.
