Description
PVP K-9 USP BP EP is white or creamy white powder. It is odorless, nontoxic, non-irritant. PVP K-90 USP BP EP dissolves readily in water, alcohol, amine and many other organic solvents. K-90, USP is used as a binder in pharmaceutical tablets.The synthesis of PVP involves reducing hydrogen peroxide concentration to decrease its molecular weight. This process can be performed in water or organic solvents like alcohol or toluene. Spray drying is used for low and medium molecular weight PVP, while drum drying is used for high molecular weight grades.
