Description
Crospovidone tablets' disintegration rate and force depend on the disintegrant's particle size. Larger particles promote disintegration due to their hydrophilic network. Larger particles also form a continuous hydrophilic network. Cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone with particle sizes 125-74 μm produces the best dissolution effect for nifedipine tablets, while smaller particles have poorer dissolution effects. The amount of disintegrant used does not directly correlate with the reduction in disintegration time.
