Description
VP VA is a linear copolymer consisting of vinyl pyrrolidone (VP) and vinyl acetate (VA), which are hydrophobic and hydrophilic thermoplastic oxygen-permeable polymers. Its solubility changes with VP content, and it is insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and ethers. Increased VA content leads to greater hydrophobicity and decreased hygroscopicity. VP VA offers advantages such as creating water-resistant films, reducing dusting, increasing rhizobia's survival rate, improving adhesion and cohesiveness, and lowering interfacial tension between oil and water. The formulator products typically range in molecular weight from 13,000 to 57,000, with vinyl pyrrolidone:vinyl acetate ratios ranging from 30:70 to 70:30.
